Privacy Policy
Effective July 4, 2026
Symbols of Sleep (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using this site you agree to this policy.
What we collect
- Newsletter email. If you subscribe, we store the email address you provide so we can send you the newsletter. We do not sell it.
- Contact messages. If you use our contact form, we store your name (optional), email, and message so we can reply.
- Usage analytics. We collect aggregate, privacy-friendly usage data (pages viewed, general location, device type) to understand what’s useful. This is not used to identify you personally.
- Advertising data. If advertising is enabled, our ad partners (such as Google AdSense) may set cookies and collect data to show relevant ads. See “Advertising” below.
How we use it
To operate and improve the site, send the newsletter you asked for, respond to your messages, measure traffic, and — where enabled — display advertising that keeps the site free.
Advertising
We may use third-party advertising, including Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies at aboutads.info.
Service providers
We rely on trusted providers to run the site: hosting and analytics (Vercel), database storage for emails and messages (Supabase), email delivery (where configured), and advertising (Google). These providers process data only to provide their service to us.
Your choices & rights
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link in any email, or by contacting us.
- Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us to make a request.
- You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy; we’ll revise the effective date above when we do.
