THE CARTOGRAPHY OF THE NOCTURNAL MIND

Start with the dream you remember.

The Nocturnal Cartographer follows three details: a place, an action and a feeling. Choose what stayed with you and receive one question to carry into your journal.

Three questions. No account. Your choices stay in this tool. This is a creative reflection framework, not a psychological assessment.

FIELD NOTES / METHOD

A starting point, not a verdict.

The tool assigns fixed editorial weights to your three choices. The highest total selects a reflection about setting, journey, boundary or memory. Ties follow that order. These are writing prompts, not validated personality types, probabilities or hidden diagnoses.

The wider archive explores five territories: places, movement, threat, the borderland of sleep, and memory. This short tool only asks about the dream you remember; it does not assess sleep conditions.

What research can—and cannot—tell us

Research has linked dreaming about a learning task with later memory performance. That association does not validate a fixed meaning for a house, a journey or any individual dream. The tool’s scoring is editorial and has not been clinically validated.
